Student License
The AIMMS Student license is limited in the number of identifiers (200) and the size of the optimization models (300x300), allowing students to create and run small AIMMS models on their own computer.
Solvers
The free student license is equipped with the solvers CPLEX, GUROBI, MOSEK and XA for linear and mixed integer programming, CONOPT and KNITRO for nonlinear programming, and AOA for mixed integer nonlinear programming.
Instructions
To use the free student license you can
download and install AIMMS* and use the information below to activate the license when you open AIMMS for the first time:

Please copy the activation code to prevent typos.
If you register you can stay up to date by receiving AIMMS related news. Select to keep informed on the free student license and you will be kept up to date about changes in the student license, such as addition of new solvers, and the yearly renewal of the free student license.
(*) The use of the free student license allows the usage of all Production Releases and Feature Release that are available for download. For unrestricted versions of the software, we recommend you to consider the educational license package with free updates and free maintenance.
Learning by Playing
In the G-AIMMS section on our website you find an AIMMS modeling game. When you have some basic modeling knowledge you can learn AIMMS and increase your modeling skills by playing the game.
Use Conditions
The following conditions apply when using a free AIMMS student license:
- The free AIMMS student license may only be used for non-commercial purposes.
- The free AIMMS student license has a limited time-span of one year. After expiry, a new student license can be retrieved from our website.
- The free AIMMS student license is a developer license and runs on Windows only.
- Paragon Decision Technology reserves the right to terminate the free AIMMS student license offering.
- No rights of any kind can be obtained by users of this license.
