New Features AIMMS 3.5

Home

The AIMMS 3.5 release contains (amongst others) the following new features in comparison to AIMMS 3.4:

  • Nodelock licensing. AIMMS 3.5 offers nodelock license protection for single-user licenses in addition to the dongle protection required in AIMMS 3.4 and earlier. Nodelocked licenses can be activated online, if internet access is available, or offline through our website. During activation you can choose between a personal or a machine nodelock. Personal nodelocks still offer you a lot of freedom to use AIMMS on multiple computers (like a dongle), while machine nodelocks are intended for use on a single computer.
  • AIMMS math program Inspector. The AIMMS math program inspector is a collection of tools to visually inspect and analyze linear math programs. With the math program inspector you will be able to analyze the causes of infeasibilities, unrealistic results and other problems associated with a math program.
  • Working with multiple math programs. AIMMS 3.5 has the capability to work with multiple math programs simultaneously. This opens up the possibility to construct advanced custom solution algorithms by decomposing a problem into multiple sub-problems, where the entire problem can be efficiently solved by the interaction of the solutions of the sub-problems.
  • Link to Baron solver. AIMMS 3.5 offers the Baron solver (version 7.2) for global optimization of nonlinear math programs
  • Conopt, Xpress and Mosek solver updates. Next to the new global solver Baron, updates of our solver links with Conopt 3.14A, Xpress 15 and Mosek 3 are available. The latter now also includes the MIP option.
  • Extended graphical interface features. An indexed page object, to repeatedly display another page (with objects containing data of multidimensional identifiers sliced over one or two element parameters) in a list or tabular format for all elements of the corresponding index set(s).
  • Linux/Unix deployment facilities. AIMMS 3.5 offers the possibility to deploy applications as an AIMMS component version for Linux/Unix. This AIMMS version without GUI will allow you to deploy your AIMMS models developed with our Windows IDE on Linux/Unix servers.
  • 64-bit Itanium version. For extreme large size models, an AIMMS version for the Windows 64-bit Itanium platform is available. The extended memory range of the 64-bit Itanium processor allows you to run models with memory requirements beyond the 2 Gb memory limit of the 32-bit Windows versions.
