The standard version of AIMMS 3.6 is available as single byte character version for the Windows 32-bit platform. If you are installing a concurrent user license, the AIMMS Network License Manager is required as well.
Please read the release notes carefully before downloading and installing AIMMS.

| * | Important compatibility warning for dongle users
To ensure compatibility with AIMMS 3.7, AIMMS 3 versions higher than or equal to release 3.6.203 use the latest version of the Sentinel dongle drivers. All AIMMS versions prior to release 3.6.203 use an older version of these drivers. If you have an older version of AIMMS 3.6 installed, and want to upgrade to the latest AIMMS 3.6 release or to AIMMS 3.7, you should first uninstall your currently installed AIMMS 3.6 version manually. This also applies to the AIMMS 3.6 Network License Manager. Failure to do so, may result in your dongle not properly being recognized anymore. If your dongle is not recognized anymore, please refer to this Knowledge Base article. |
Unicode version
In addition to the single byte standard version, a double byte Unicode version is available. The standard version is sufficient for most application developers. However, if you need to distribute a localized version of an AIMMS application to, for instance, Asian or Russian end-users, use of the standard AIMMS version may not be sufficient, as many languages in these regions cannot be represented using single-byte characters. To support localization in such languages, the Unicode version of AIMMS is available, in which all strings are represented internally using double-byte characters.
Applications developed in the AIMMS Unicode version can not be used within the AIMMS Standard version. More details on the AIMMS Unicode version can be found in Chapter "Localization and Unicode Support" of the User's Guide.

Windows 64 and Linux versions
AIMMS is also available for the Windows 64-bit Itanium, the Windows x64, and the Linux platform. Although these versions are available on-line, please understand that these versions have some restrictions or adjusted functionality compared to the Standard and Unicode versions of AIMMS.
