As long as you have your AIMMS license(s) in maintenance, you are entitled to download and install new AIMMS Maintenance Releases at no extra cost. We will service maintained licenses such that they remain operational on new hardware and new operating systems. With maintenance, you are also eligible to upgrade your license to a more extended license, for example with additional solvers or to larger sizes.

Maintenance Releases

A Maintenance Release of the AIMMS Software means a release of the AIMMS Software, which is designated by Paragon as a change in the digit(s) of the x- and/or y-component(s) of the AIMMS Software version number [x.y.z]. A maintenance release may provide new functionality, new solvers and bug fixes. Maintenance Releases are only available by paying Paragon additional license fees (i.e. a maintenance fee) for such releases.

Software Updates

Updates of the AIMMS Software are related to a particular AIMMS Maintenance Release for which you obtain a license. A Software Update of an AIMMS Maintenance Release means a release of the AIMMS software, which is designated by Paragon as a change in the digit(s) of the z-component of the AIMMS version number [x.y.z]. An AIMMS Software Update contains only bug fixes for that particular AIMMS Maintenance Release. Software Updates are provided at no additional charge for the particular AIMMS Maintenance Release for which you obtain a license.

Support

Maintenance Releases and Software Updates are supported by Paragon at least up to the next Maintenance Release. After a new AIMMS Maintenance Release is issued, the last update of the previous AIMMS Maintenance Release is supported by Paragon for a period no longer than six (6) months for critical problems only (i.e., errors or defects that prevent any operation of the AIMMS Software at all). Maintenance Releases and Software Updates are not covered by any warranty or condition, express, implied or statutory, and are expressly subject to the limitations and exclusions and other terms and conditions set forth in the AIMMS License Agreement.
