The XA solver is a Linear Programming (LP) and Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) solver. For solving LP problems you can choose between the simplex algorithm and the (efficient) barrier algorithm. The MIP solver can only use the simplex algorithm.
Default AIMMS Solver
XA is available as the default linear solver in every AIMMS system for solving LP/MIP/QP.

Supported Versions
- AIMMS 3.8.5-3.10 support XA 15, which is also available in the free trial license of AIMMS.
- AIMMS 3.6-3.8.4 support XA 13 - 14.
- AIMMS 3.5 supports XA 13.
