Energy research Centre of the Netherlands ECN is an independent market oriented organisation for the research, development, consultancy and knowledge transfer in the field of energy and related areas. ECN is the leading institute for energy research in the Netherlands and carries out basic and applied research in the fields of fossil fuels, renewable energy sources, policy studies, environmental aspects of energy supply and the development and application of new materials. Horoz Lojistik is a provider of integrated services with a turnover of 300 million USD in Turkey. Horoz operates in the areas of air & ocean freight forwarding, international overland trucking, domestic distribution, and warehousing (multi-user and dedicated). INEOS

Based in Worringen near Cologne (Köln, Germany), Ineos Köln is Ineos´s largest petrochemical site worldwide. Ineos is a key raw materials supplier to the chemical industry. The main base product is naphtha, a by-product from oil refineries.

UniSoma Matemática para Produtividade - Brazil, AIMMS Service Partner

  • UniSoma - Aurora Alimentos, Integrated Animal Planning
    Comprising the chains of poultry, swine, industrialized and dairy products, and feed formulation, this system is a set of planning modules developed for Aurora Alimentos. Its solution architecture is based on optimization models implemented in AIMMS.
  • UniSoma - CPFL, Load Curve Estimation for Transformers
    UniSoma delivered to CPFL the Load Curve Estimation for Distribution Transformers through Micro Regional Typologies module, developed in AIMMS. This module is the heart of the system that aims to guarantee a complete environment for transformer load curves collection, storing, processing and analysis.
  • UniSoma - CST (Arcelor Mittal) - SIMAE
    SIMAE optimizes the daily energy balance regarding production capacities, utilities safety inventories, raw material buying contractual conditions, etc. The system is used to run complex analysis on optimal use (and/or selling) of internal process' by-products, the equipment maintenance scheduling, and machines setup scheduling.
  • UniSoma - CST (Arcelor Mittal) - SISCAF
    An integrated planning of raw material preparation, sintering, and operations at the blast furnaces. It determines the quantities of raw material inputs for the production of sinter and pig iron. It also calculates the fuel mix for the sintering plant and blast furnaces and required distribution of sinter among the blast furnaces.
  • UniSoma - CST (Arcelor Mittal) - Supply Chain Strategic Planning Optimizer
    Based on a MILP model and integrated to SAP APO (SNP Module of SAP), an AIMMS component was developed for CST´s Supply Chain Network Planning. This Optimizer will support the strategic decision process of obtaining the production mix optimization considering customer profitability as well the production and logistics capacities for CST and its subsidiary Vega do Sul.
  • UniSoma - CST (Arcelor Mittal) - Ábaco
    This new AIMMS-based system was developed for CST´s iron making department to help them to optimize its Brazilian Coal Supply Chain Planning. It basically involves simultaneous solving of 3 related sub-problems: the shipping scheduling, the coal blending planning for the coke plants and the coal storage planning.
  • UniSoma - Cenibra, Central Logistics System
    ABASEM integrates the daily scheduling plan for transportation from wood stands to mills, the stock policy for the pulp mill, and the daily chip production line supply scheduling. The model provides a solution that compromises between different and possibly conflicting objectives. Connectivity to SMAD – a legacy system at Cenibras forest area - allows for importing information like current stock, density, etc.
  • UniSoma - PAMDO, Optimized Density for Wood Supply Planning
    In a period of 4 months, UniSoma developed a wood transport and supply planning prototype system. Written in AIMMS, and based on a Mixed Integer Programming Model, the system was able to create transportation and production plans with significant reduction in wood density variation over time at each mill.
  • UniSoma - SCCPD, Load Curve and Demand Forecasting System
    UniSoma developed for Companhia Paulista de Força e Luz (CPFL), in partnership with Serviços Especializados (SEST) and RAM Computer Systems, a Load Curve and Demand Forecasting System. The optimization part is handled by AIMMS.
  • UniSoma - Votorantim Celulose e Papel - PLANFLOR
    PLANFLOR is a solution for optimized forest planning. Considering harvesting costs and productivity forecasting that depends on each region, the model prescribes the best management actions for the forest areas in next 30 years, ensuring wood supply for the plants and minimizing costs.
  • UniSoma - Votorantim Cimentos, Strategic Planning Optimizer
    To determine the correct business strategy for Votorantim Cimentos, a Strategic Planner was developed in AIMMS. The objective of the system is to allow Votorantim to evaluate initiatives of its investments over a long period of time (20 to 30 years) as well as optimizing the raw materials supply chain and the cement distribution plan.
  • UniSoma - Wirex Cable, Cutting Plan Optimization
    In early 2001, Wirex Cable hired UniSoma to develop and implement a decision support system to determine the cutting scheduling for cable coils, with the objective of improving the level of service in delivering orders from a demand portfolio and minimize raw material losses (generation of scrap).
