C++ Software Engineer
Do you want to create modern, long-lasting code in a large, complex, compute-intense product where you will never run out of new challenges?
Our product includes a proprietary modeling language, a complete IDE and a deployment platform. As one of our C++ software engineers you will be both building new functionality and helping to modernize our existing code base. You will have the opportunity to work on the various parts of our code, working with different colleagues from many different nationalities.
Our key goals as product development team are:
- continuously improving the user experience
- making sure our code is easily maintainable
- making sure our product can handle the ever-increasing data volume and compute power demands
- making sure our product supports today’s integration paradigms and standards such as REST, OpenAPI and OAuth
- making optimal use of the innovation power offered by Azure’s cloud services and
- applying modern practices and technologies such as full CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code and DevOps ways-of-working
What are the responsibilities of a C++ software engineer at AIMMS?
In this role, you will need to analyze, design, code, refactor, write tests, fix bugs and release code to help us meet the goals listed above.
What are the role requirements?
- Skilled in applying software engineering methods, patterns, etc.
- Experience in programming
- Experience using source code repositories and test/build automation
- Enthusiasm for using Docker on Linux and Windows and for using Azure services
- Comfortable speaking and writing English (Dutch not needed)
