Haarlem, North Holland, 27 March 2026 – AIMMS proudly announces its recognition as a Niche Player in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Supply Chain Planning Solutions: Process Industries.

We are pleased to be recognized in this research and in an edition that, for the first time, focuses exclusively on Process Industries. For us, this is not just a mention. We feel it is validation that what we are building genuinely matters to the companies navigating some of the most complex supply chain environments in the world.

Our Recognition as a Niche Player in Process Industries

In our view, AIMMS’ position as a Niche Player in the Magic Quadrant reflects our unique approach to supply chain planning: combining an out-of-the-shelf Network Design and Planning application with an optimization tooling that empowers businesses to build and deploy fully custom supply chain optimization applications.

To us, what makes this edition particularly significant is that the 2026 Magic Quadrant is focused on process industries, recognizing that companies in sectors like oil and gas, chemicals, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals face planning challenges that are genuinely distinct and deserve dedicated analysis. We think this is the right call, and being recognized within this specific vertical makes our inclusion all the more meaningful.

“Our exclusive focus on supply chain planning allows us to tackle the industry’s most complex challenges, delivering depth and value for companies that prioritize expertise over breadth. By investing in AI-driven capabilities, including AI companions, we’re empowering supply chain planners with greater clarity and productivity.”

Where We See This Going Next

We see the next phase of supply chain planning being defined by three practical shifts.

  • Planning will become more continuous, moving away from fixed monthly or weekly cycles toward always-on processes that respond to real-world changes as they happen.
  • Decision support will become more embedded, meaning AI will not just surface recommendations but help planners understand and act on them within their normal workflows.
  • Flexibility will become non-negotiable. Organizations will expect to configure, extend, and integrate their planning tools without being locked into a single vendor’s roadmap.

These are not distant predictions. They are what our customers are already asking for, and they shape everything we are building.
